Clea found the dog's attempts to get her to play adorable. She smiled at Adele and slowly sat up as she retreated from the curtains an waited. Clea's eyes shifted toward Akumu and watched him, hoping not to disturb the man. She turned to the side, her feet touching the ground and she shivered at the feeling of a cold floor. Then she slowly got to her feet, still behind the curtain, and peeked out at the dog. An amused grin slipping across her soft lips. "What a cute puppy dog you are..." She murmured softly and sweetly to Adele. "What I'd give to have such an amusing pet. Your owner is lucky."
Clea was quite shocked to find a hand suddenly about the dog's collar. Her gold eyes quickly followed to the source to spot Orion. She blinked at him, watching him quietly scold the dog. Then slipped out from behind the curtain, kneeling down and petting the dog. "It's alright, she's fine," Clea whispered to Orion. She looked toward him and smiled a bit, "she just wanted to play is all." Her fingers scratched behind Adele's ears for a few moments before patting her head. Then Clea stood up and brushed herself off, head turning toward the bed again. She knew it would be best to leave the room. "Come on..."
Clea moved out of the bedroom, waiting for Orion and Adele. She'd leave it barely cracked so she could sneak back in without waking him. Once outside the room, her voice remained a whisper but lifted just a bit. "Can you not sleep, Orion?" She frowned, "are you looking for something?" Ha. Like she could help with that at all. Clea had hardly a clue where anything was either.

The sight of Clea startled him - oh crap, he woke her up --- Adele woke her up! But she didn't seem perturbed. Apparently she liked Adele. Adele really enjoyed Clea - especially the ear scratching part, and was very disappointed when it ended with a pat on the head. As Clea mentioned leaving the room, Orion nodded and quietly followed, dragging Adele behind him by the color.
Beyond the room, Orion pulled the door shut quietly and let his eyes drift to the floor. He had never seen a women in the nighties before, and for him - having absolutely no experience with women - it was embarrassing. His cheeks were even a bit red. Adele, though, sensing something was off about Orion, decided that maybe she should try and comfort him. Unfortunately her attempt - which was a jab to the crotch with her long nose - only made the situation more awkward for Orion who was now bent over a little with his hands on his knees, throwing dirty looks at Adele. She just licked him in the face... again. Orion simply huffed and gave her a pat on the head. "Stupid dog," he mumbled in a loving voice.
Dark eyes shifted towards Clea's face and locked with her warm honey eyes. He blinked a bit, her words not exactly registering quickly... "S-sleep?" He asked, a bit spacey. What was sleep? He was dumbstruck for a few moments until his brain kicked into gear once more. "Oh, no - pfft. I'm fine. I can go days without sleep." He smiled awkwardly as he straightened his stance. "Um... no... I found what I was looking for, actually," he said placing his hand on Adele's head. And you, too, he added quietly, so I guess I've found everything...
The blush was fading now and his words trailed into an awkward silence. He looked at her again and then back at the room. "Aren't you tired?" He asked, his eyes returning to hers. "I mean, you had a big ... night... and then the -- well... the... consummating part." Adele nipped his hand at that moment, either meaning that the dog understood what was going on, or she just had really good timing. Mentioning the whole 'consummation' thing might have been going too far...

Clea noticed Orion's cheeks turning a bit red, her head tilted. She wondered if he was catching a cold or something. Would he require medicine? Her mind began to process the herbs she would need to make something for him. It had been something she was required to learn in her childhood, after all. All young girls were supposed to learn it. Clea had a hard time remembering them all, though, having not been able to pay close attention. Even now she had issues with concentrating. She never knew why she was so drawn to things to the point everyone else was blocked out. She wondered if something was wrong with her, since people were not aware of the term 'ADD' at the time.
Coming out of her daze, she noticed Orion was bent over a bit. Her eyes shifted to the dog and she pieced together what happened. A small giggle escaped her at Adele - she was so cute. Clea reached forward and patted the dog as well, loving the feel of her fur. It was such a nice feeling between her fingers as she'd not had a pet before to feel its fur. "Your dog is always so fun. She acts as if she may just be human." That wasn't possible, of course, and most would frown at her for comparing an animal to a human. But the dog showed great signs of intelligence. Clea had no problem comparing her with human beings. Her gold eyes locked with his dark ones and she blinked softly at him. He seemed to be in a daze, too.
What she had said had not quickly processed in his mind, she realized. The nudge must've distracted him from her words. So she nodded to comfirm 'sleep' was the word she had used. "Days?" She murmured, slightly awed. "I get tired easily...especially in crowds. I can't stand being bunched up in a group of people. It makes me feel sick." She blushed a bit, very faintly, at the statement. It was sort of embarrassing to admit it since she'd have to be and had been around many people before.
She nodded as he said he found everything ok, "I'm glad." She brushed hair behind her right ear and gave a pleasant smile. "Are you going to bed now? Everything is quieted down, after all. Walking around could wake someone - and that'd be unpleasant."
At the mention of the...consummating...Clea's face turned dark red with a blush. "U-um..." she murmured and looked down, scratching the back of her head. "W-we...that...i-it...has yet to h-happen, actually...A-and the night...i-it just made me more awake, really..." She fought to get her blush under control, but the mention of it made it uncontrollable. She wondered when that was going to happen...

Orion watched Clea's face turn a deep shade of scarlet... and was slightly amused by this. So amused, he let out a small laugh, but quickly controlled it. "I'm a bit surprised that you two haven't... that means the marriage isn't a binding contract yet." He was quiet for a moment and glanced around. "I'm not going to bed yet, no," he said suddenly, changing the subject. "I don't sleep much 'cause I'm constantly on the move. I'm a tracker... either animals or someone who has a bounty on their head." Adele, growing bored of their babbling, let out a sharp yip and ran down the vast hallway.
"Adele!" Orion called after her, frowning. "I swear..." he murmured and took off after her. "Get back here!" He called to her as quietly as possible. "This isn't the place to be playing!" Adele turned a corner swiftly, followed closely by Orion who didn't take the corner well. He slid a bit and crashed hard into the wall with his shoulder. Pausing a moment to absorb the pain, the dark-eyed male cursed under his breath and sprinted after the dog. He gained ground and leaped at her. Wrapping his arms about the dog, he tackled the dog to the ground; they slid towards a wall, slipped past a tapestry hanging on the wall. Orion quickly wrestled Adele into a pinned position. "I swear, you mangy mutt, if you keep pulling stunts like this..." but his eyes wandered around, and Orion suddenly noticed where he was.
The room was massive with a huge wall of glass that let in the moonlight. The walls were made of a white stone, as was the floor. A white rug, laced with golden designs covered most of the floor. Extravagant furniture decorated the room, and to his right was a large bed placed upon a stone slab that rose only a several inches off the floor. What was this place? Carefully Orion moved over to the window and looked out. Beyond the glass was a deep chasm that seemed to have no end. "What's the point of this room?" He asked, looking around.

"Hm," Clea murmured and blushed even more. She still dreaded that day since she was so in the dark about it. Her eyes shifted up to the Hunter, watching him for a bit. So, he killed people sometimes? Or at least caught them to be killed. This caused a shiver to run down Clea's spine at the thought of Orion doing such a thing. She chewed softly on her lower lip, not liking the idea of it. But her thoughts were cut off when she saw Orion running off, then crash into the wall. She winced a bit and quickly followed after the two.
Since she was in night clothes it was a lot easier to keep up with them, though Orion seemed so much faster then her and like it was effortless. Well...he was a hunter after all...so it made sense. But it actually seemed almost inhuman to her. She managed to keep him in sight and see him disappear under the tapestry. This made Clea slow until she came to a halt and slumped a bit, panting. How did Orion do this? Clea didn't have such stamina. She was already heaving for breath and they had barely run. This is what she got for being in a spoiled family....no physical strength or stamina at all.
Slowly she followed where the two had gone, moving into the room and looking around. "Wow..." she murmured softly and gazed at the room. What was the purpose of this room? She thought about it and thought why was it hidden? Was this a room for Akumu in case...someone was coming to execute him? It made sense. But she decided not to speak the thought out loud. Women weren't supposed to really do that, after all. So she merely gave a small shrug and moved to stand beside him and gaze out the window. Her head tilted slightly, it was all very lovely, really...

Orion glanced at Clea as she came to a stop beside him. He offered her a small smiles before stepping away from the window. He was starting to get vertigo... His dark eyes scanned the room again, and slowly he looked at all of the furniture. It all looked expensive - but what didn't look expensive in this place? He was so caught up in thought that he didn't notice the brush of air as another being silently entered the room.
Akumu, having seemed to appear out of nowhere(in pants), watched Clea from the shadows. His eyes failed to notice Orion and the mutt, but his other senses alerted him of their presence. He decided to ignore them and quietly approached Clea. Gently placing a hand on her shoulder, Akumu spoke in a hushed tone. "You're up late."
Upon hearing Akumu's voice, Orion nabbed Adele and waited for a moment when Clea's eyes were turned away from him. In that instant, Orion melted into the shadows and was gone from the room.
"How did you find your way in here?" He asked, black eyes scanning the white room. He hadn't been in here in ages... it was a wonder everything was still somewhat clean. He didn't wait for her to answer his recent question, instead he continued in a flat tone. "You shouldn't be wandering around by yourself at night... in your night wear, either." His grip on her shoulder tightened slightly. Lifting her, Akumu shifted into a darker corner of the room - an area where her sight failed her - and slipped back into their room through the shadows. Once in the room again, Akumu brushed aside the curtains and placed Clea upon the bed; he watched her for a moment, and then turned and walked out onto a balcony just beyond the room.

She stood and gazed out the window quietly, thinking to herself. She was not aware at all of his presence and when his hand touched her shoulder, she gasped loudly and spun around to face him with a startled gaze. "Akumu..." she whispered, feeling herself tense up. Oh no, was she in trouble? Where was Orion!? What did it look like? Oh no! Oh no! "I-I..." She tried to stammer out but wasn't sure what to say. But as her eyes shifted around a bit, she realized Orion wasn't in the room. She nodded slowly and muttered, "I couldn't sleep just yet..." Which wasn't too much of a lie, really. It had truth to it.
She flinched at his scold and nodded slightly, accepting it. But she winced when he gripped her shoulder tightly, hoping she didn't bruise there. She was lifted off the ground and she muttered softly that she was sorry as he took her to the darkness. Was there some other passage way there that led back to the room? Because the next thing Clea knew she was back in the room with him. "I heard something and decided to explore and found the room behind a tapestry..." She was telling the truth, basically. She had heard something and that something had been Orion. She had found the room through the tapestry.
Being placed gently back into bed, Clea gazed up at him. Then nodded a bit as if to say 'goodnight' and pulled the blankets over her. Turning on her side and closing her eyes. But he did not join her, instead, he went out to the balcony. She hoped he was not angry with her...

He stood on the balcony, his hands tightly gripping the stone railing. Akumu knew that the marriage had to be consummated as soon as possible. If one wasn't consummated on the first night, it often meant the groom had trouble performing... that wasn't the case for him. He simply had no desire to touch a human - a filthy, diseased human in that sort of way. And if he were to produce a child with her... Akumu closed his eyes and released a very perturbed breath. The child would be a half-breed. He would not be the sire of a half-breed. It was simply out of the question.
Cool winds moved in from the east, pressing their chilly fingers against the bare skin of his chest. He shivered a bit, but didn't seem to notice he was the least bit cold. That Orion kid, Akumu thought, seems to like Clea. An amused grin came to his lips. Maybe... if the child is deemed to be a half-breed, I can pawn it off on him. He'll try something in the near future. Akumu drummed his fingers on the stone of the balcony and watched as puffy clouds drifted across the moons face. I'll simply send her out with Orion sometime soon, after I consummate this damn marriage... they'll do something, most likely, and if she's pregnant... well, then it belongs to Orion. An Izumi.
Akumu agreed on the plan and moved quietly back into the bedroom. He stood, staring at the dark fabric of the curtains for some time before brushing them aside and moving onto the bed. He kneeled over Clea, scooped a hand behind her head, and brought her face close to his, capturing her lips in a strong kiss.

Clea had been dreaming soundly as Akumu was out on the balcony. A smile had spread across her lips as she danced in her dreams with Orion. The dance had been much fun with him and she longed for it again. But she also dreamed of dancing with her husband, of course. How could she not? He was her husband, after all! It wasn't right to dream of another man and not have him in it. She turned onto her back, arm resting near her head. Then she had dreamed of the consumation mentioning and her smile faded. A nervous look spread across her face now.
Clea had woken up a bit when Akumu had crawled onto the bed and kneeled over her. "Hm...?" Clea murmured, feeling his hand come behind her head. Her eyes opened more and she blinked tiredly. Suddenly his lips were pressed strongly against her own and her heart skipped a beat. N-now? Why now? Clea's gold eyes widened and she shivered a bit. But married couples had to do this...she had to give up her virginity to him. But the thought of what it may be like scared her. She was definately scared. Sex was something Evanthe had never told her about - after all.
Knowing she had to accept this, she couldn't say no to her husband - let alone Akumu for who he was, she responded to his kiss. Her hearbeat quickened to a nervous pace as she responded. She wasn't sure what to do now. Did he do it all or did he want her to do something? What did she do if he wanted her to do something? Clea was yet again clueless and felt lost.

It was over and done with, the marriage had been consummated. Akumu hoped a child wouldn't be conceived out of this, but... if everything were to work like he planned, he would have to send Clea out with Orion sometime soon. Hopefully his guesses were right about the boy's feelings towards Clea, and if they were everything would work out well enough.
She was asleep, from what he could see. Moving from the bed, Akumu dressed quickly and left the room. In the dark hallways he moved towards his study. It was time to make up an excuse for Clea's deportation from the castle. A threat to her life was a good enough excuse. With it he would send Clea out with Orion - under and alias - and wait for the inevitable.
It wasn't long before a guard was moving hurriedly through the halls to the King's room. He quietly entered and stood at the side of the bed. "Lady Clea," he said in a booming voice, "you need to come with me. Your security is at risk and the King has asked that I escort you to the man assigned to protect you." He waited, a bit nervously, for a reply.
Woken from a rather deep sleep and drug to the stables where he was greeted by Akumu, Orion was rather irritated. His job was to hunt down a Mizuno, not protect someone... but, because it was Clea, he accepted the offer. Orion ran a thick-bristled brush over his horses coat, pulling dirt from the hairs and sweeping it off in swirling clouds of filth. He sneezed once or twice during the process, but by the time he had sinched up the girth and all of his supplies were tied to the back of the saddle, Fox's coat was dirt-free. Adele had been dozing lightly at Orion's feet all the while, and when the male mounted the horse and turned him out of the stable to wait for Clea in the courtyard, she was a ball of energy weaving dangerously between the colts feet as he danced nervously, his muscles shaking beneath his mahogany coat.
Akumu approached Orion and snatched the horses reins just beneath the muzzle. "Be careful with her," he said - his voice a bit too void of feeling - "I'll send for the two of you when everything's safe. Don't settle in a city, nor in crowded places. Just keep away from people in general. And no fancy clothes - we don't want attention drawn to her." Orion nodded a bit and glanced towards the front doors of the castle, waiting to catch sight of Clea.
