Greeting her parents, she had seen with a huge surprise her sister and her husband had also come. Clea had thrown her arms around her sister, happily greeting her. With Evanthe here, Clea felt she could do anything - even get married. Her spirits lifted for the day, Clea had managed to do the big dinner without feeling cramped and in need of air. She had spoken politely and treated everyone how they should be treated and in return she got the respect she was supposed to recieve. It all felt so mechanical...it bothered Clea. She hated how everything was a process. Greeting, thanking for coming, person saying you're welcome, small chat, and over. It was all so...so...weird. Clea just couldn't place how she felt about it. But for the first time when it was time for her to lay down and go to bed, she felt the feeling of emptiness hollow in her stomach...
Clea hadn't been able to sleep well that night, tossing and turning with anticipation. What would the day bring? She was to be wed in only a few hours. She would then be deflowered and possibly carry a child because of it. Possibly not. Who knew how long it would take for her to be pregnant? She had thought about how it might be...to go to bed with him. She tried to imagine it, but had no no idea when it came down to it. Clea tried to imagine a child running around the castle and calling her mommy. Her teaching it until it turned seven and was taken over to be taught by Akumu, unless it were a girl. Then Clea would continue to teach it. But she wished for a boy, it was what males wanted. They wanted a son to carry on their name. And Akumu really had a name he had to carry on. She thought back to what she knew of his past. He had already had a wife and a daughter...she was his second wife. Clea sighed at the thought, wondering what she really meant to him, then had closed her eyes.
Now everything was happening so fast. Clea felt queasy - like she might be sick. She didn't like chaos and crowds. It made her stomach clench and a migraine to start to take place. The orchestra was soon playing their traditional instruments and Clea sighed, rubbing her forehead. She was dressed beautifully and really was one of the loveliest brides - well, people told her this. She was sure it was just flattery because she really saw no difference- someone could lay eyes on. Clea had blushed when people told her this, because she had never been called that. The farthest Clea had ever been called was 'pretty.' But it was her wedding day, so she guessed it was natural to be called the lovliest and luckiest bride. She tried to not let it get to her.
The room had stunned Clea when she was walked down the aisle, so many colors and shiney things! Her eyes had shifted everywhere and stared as she walked. She felt she just might trip after all. Actually her foot brushed against her other one and this is what brought her to attention to keep herself straight. She didn't fall and that was good. Her eyes shifted to Akumu as she stood before him, smiling a bit. Everything was about to change..

During the ceremony Akumu recited all of the vows with ease, and once it was all over, kissed his new bride. As the cheers he took Clea's arm and looped it about his before leading her down the hallway and to the grand ball room where the festivities would be held. Everyone filed after them, and once in the room Akumu lead her over to their seats and let her take a seat. He was about to take a seat beside her but a small man ran up, caught his arm, and whispered something. Akumu nodded once and looked at Clea. "I shall be back momentarily," he offered a quick smile before heading into a different room through a door just behind their seats. The door remained slightly cracked.
Inside the room, Akumu approached a male that was standing before a painting and examining it. "One of your kills?" Orion asked, looking back at the king. "Yes," Akumu replied, sitting down in a large chair. "You're early," he added with a frown. "I didn't know you were getting married. Just thought you thought I was too far out to get here fast enough. Fox is faster than he looks." Akumu arched his brow in question. "My horse.... never mind." A gray dog sat at Orion's feet and stared at Akumu with intelligent eyes. Her body leaned against Orion as if wanting to be as close to him as physically possible. "What do you want me to track?" Orion asked, crossing his arms. "A Mizuno," Akumu said, crossing his arms. "She caused me problems, ran off with knowledge she shouldn't have. She is a security risk for me and I want her dead." Orion nodded and glanced back at the painting. "Well, I could start tracking in a week." Akumu's eyes darkened slightly. "A week?" "Yes." Orion stated, matter-of-factly. My horse is worn and needs rest. Not to mention I haven't had time to rest enough. Your castle is large, you can spare a room."
A soft sigh fell from Akumu's lips and he thought for a few moments. "I'll let you sleep in the servants quarters," he said. "What's the pay for this job?" Orion asked, resting a hand on Adele's head. The dog tilted her nose and licked his hand affectionately. "It'll be excessive," Akumu guaranteed. "Why not join the festivities?" He offered. "Just leave your weapons. I'll have them taken to your room." Orion nodded and set his equipment on a small table to his right. Akumu stood and returned to the ball room, followed by Orion who stood a close to the two chair where Akumu and Clea sat, Adele sitting - once again - as close to his leg as she could.

Clea had recited the vows she had learned, though she hadn't been as fluent it as Akumu. She admired him for it, really. Being able to talk so fluently with such an authoritive tone to where people listened. Everyone listened to him. It was something to admire, despite the fact she hated the serious-type. Her gold eyes watched him, wondering again and again about her future. How would her future be with him? Would she find happiness? She hoped so. When the kiss came, she let him kiss her and responded gently. Her first kiss ever...it had been her kiss to her first and most likely final wedding. She smiled and blushed, hearing the cheering for her and Akumu. It was so strange to be the center of attention along with him. She would have to get used to this...Clea would have to get used to crowds.
He looped her arm in his and Clea gladly followed his lead, knowing he knew what he was doing and she did not. She was taken to a seat and sat down, thanking him. But before he could sit he was summoned away - to her dismay. Clea frowned a bit, but nodded when he said he'd return. She looked at everyone and waited, feeling nervous without him there. She felt so clueless about all this...
He returned within moments and with another man. Clea looked over curiously at the male and gave him a small smile of welcome. Then she looked at Akumu and welcomed him while giving a small nod of her head. She was happy he was back and felt reassured now.

The smell of food was strong, and the room was loud with music. Before long Orion found himself dancing with a few women here and there - most of which were flirts, but he was having a good time - and so were they - so he simply went along with it. Adele was enjoying the festivities as well, and danced around Orion and his dance partners from time to time, or - to the amusement of the crowd - danced with Orion. She was a large dog, but very athletic and flexible, and she loved the attention she was getting from the women at the party - especially the women who gave her food.
Throughout the dancing Akumu had locked himself up in his thoughts. He had spoken to a few people, accepted some early wedding presents - which he gave to Clea to open for her enjoyment - but other than that was pretty much glued to his chair. Orion glanced over at the two a few times, his eyes lingering on Clea... she was beautiful, he thought, he loved her eyes. After a while had passed the boy approached the two and looked at Akumu. "Would you mind if I kidnapped your bride for a few songs?" He asked. Akumu's eyes shifted over to him and he gave a small nod. "Go ahead."
Orion looked at Clea and offered his hand. "May I have this dance?" He asked, offering a polite smile before whisking her off her feet and out onto the dance floor, into the chords of the fast-paced song.

Clea watched everyone have a lot of fun, wishing to join them. But she was not sure if she was allowed to. So she remained in her seat and watched everyone dance - the man Akumu had brought back with him seemed to really be enjoying himself. She found his dog to be adorable as well, especially when the two danced together. She smiled softly at the two, touched by their close relationship. If only she had an animal like that to be so close to. Maybe Akumu would let her have a cat or something...maybe even a bird she could teach to talk? Her eyes shifted toward him and she smiled slightly. But she found that Akumu was lost in his thoughts, but so was she. She had a lot on her mind, but she was trying to supress it. Like what might happen soon...even tonight. She was a bit scared about that...
Watching the male, she noticed his eyes lingering on her quite often when he looked at the two. Was she really so pretty? Clea felt her cheeks grow hot and she smiled at him politely. Then she looked at everyone else and watched them again have their fun. Even her parents were drinking up all of this. She was happy they would be gone soon. But she was depressed that Evanthe would have to leave soon. Her eyes shifted toward her older sister as she danced with her husband. Evanthe looked happy...Clea was happy for her.
The male had approached them and Clea looked at him, blinking. He asked to kidnap her for a few songs....Clea's eyes brightened. She looked at Akumu and smiled widely as he accepted. "You may have this dance," she responded and stood, letting him whisk her away. "But I'd like to know your name, sir."

Adele quickly followed the two into the crowd, circling around them as they danced. The guests laughed at her antics and gave her room. Orion Didn't really notice, he was captivated by the warm color of Clea's eyes. "My name?" He said a few moments after she asked. He leaned her back into a deep dip and his face neared hers. "Orion," he said, just before pulling her back to her feet and spinning her out. Adele - the athletic dog she was - took this moment to leap over their extended arms, her foot nearly coming in contact with Orion's face as she did so. He turned and scolded the dog, but she replied in a playful growl and dashed between his legs and over to the table in order to receive more food from the loving women. Orion shook his head and muttered something along the lines of "that dog". "And you're Clea," Orion said, pulling her back to him. This information was easy to obtain. All he had to do was listen to the gossip amongst the women. Orion found himself developing a weird feeling... A while later, Akumu cut in and danced with Clea for a while as the slow songs came along. "Tired?" He asked a little while later. "I'm almost ready to retire to my room." He gave her a small smile. "If you'd like to remain out here and entertain the guests a little longer, you can. When you're ready to sleep ask one of the guards to escort you to your room."

Clea watched the man as she waited for his name. It was strange for her to dance with someone she didn't know, but he dipped her and his name was finally given. Orion. Clea smiled as she was lifted back up and spun and she laughed as the dog jumped over him. She moved back to Orion when he pulled her back as he stated her name. She nodded and smiled at him. "Yes, that's my name. My full name used to be Clea Crisanto till a little while ago." She giggled a bit. "It's nice to meet you, Orion-kun."
They were cut apart by Akumu as the music slowed and it was a dismay - somewhat- to Clea. She had liked talking to Orion, he was nice. But she knew she had to dance with her husband sometime. She went to Akumu and did a few dances with him, smiling at him the whole time. She wanted to show the others that she was happy, though she wasn't sure if she was yet or not. It was nice to pretend for now.
"So many people...I'm not used to it," Clea had murmured in response when he asked if she were tired. "So I really am tired." Her eyes shifted up to him and watched his dark ones. She was told about her room...her head tilted slightly. "Do we ever share a room, since we're married now?" It seemed right if it were that way...maybe she wouldn't feel the emptiness at night.

Akumu watched Clea for a few moments, chewing at the idea of her sleeping in his bedroom. He hadn't shared a room with someone in many years, nor had he allowed someone so close to him while he slept. It was more of a survival thing and at first he shied away from the idea - but he kept all of his expressions in check and made sure he didn't take too long to respond. "Yes, we do." He said with a small smile. He offered no explanation to his earlier comment, and never would. He wasn't too wild about the night ahead, but such activities were required for marriage. If she wasn't a virgin, she'd be dealt with. But tonight he wasn't sure if he actually wanted to... he shook the thought out of his head.
Taking Clea's hand he carefully maneuvered through the crowd and out into the hallway. From there he proceeded towards the large staircase and up to his room. Releasing her hand, Akumu placed both of his on the two large doors and pushed them open. He walked in, waited for Clea to pass through the doors, and closed them. The room was large, and directly in front of them was a large bed dressed in black, silken sheets. Dark curtains hung down from wooden panels that ran from each poster which could be drawn to conceal the bed all together. To the left and right of the bed were two large stone archways that leads out onto a wide balcony that overlooked an expanse of trees, streams, and distance mountains, showing no part of the dismal city. The earth was tinted with the soft glow of the moon and a gentle breeze whispered gently. The fresh smell of spring was in the air.
He was quiet as he moved about the room, first removing his shoes and then his shirt. His pants came last, and now bare he moved over to the bed and pulled the sheets back. He had always slept without clothes. He hardly thought that he could sleep in a night shirt. Why wear uncomfortable clothes during the day and at night? Fabric only itched. Akumu moved into the bed, pulled the end and his side curtain, and laid down, crossing his arms behind his head.
Orion had left the party moments after Clea and Akumu had left. He was quiet as he could be in the halls, as well as Adele who's nails clicked against the stone floor. He approached the room which Clea and Akumu had gone into and listened quietly at the door. He could hear some words being exchanged, meaning they were still up. Orion glanced at Adele and shrugged a bit before patting her head. Standing he started ti explore the castle... but Adele had other plans. She nudged one of the doors with her nose and found that it opened easily. She slipped into the room and looked at the bed whose curtains had been drawn. Adele sniffed the ground and approached the side which Clea had crawled into. Snuffling beneath the curtain, Adele peeked into the bed and shifted her eyes towards the blonde girl. Wishing for her attention, Adele pressed her cold nose against the girl's arm before giving it a quick lick.

Clea smiled when he mentioned they would be sharing a room now. Though she did like the other room with all the colors that she was fond of, but she still felt it right. Even her parents shared a room after all. But she wondered quietly to herself if she'd just gotten herself in the situation she was not quite sure of just yet. She thought about this anxiously as he took her hand and led her away. Clea was rather happy to be away from all the people. The queasy feeling was gone when she was able to get fresh air and space.
Moving into the room, she glanced curiously back at him. He had came in after allowing her to come in first, which she had said a small thank you to for his politeness. Now he was heading toward the bed, which she hadn't noticed at first. While doing so, she noticed his clothes slowly being lost and felt her cheeks turn completely red. She looked away and blushed until she was sure he was in bed. Then she went and changed her clothes. Out of the dress and now into her night attire, Clea moved shyly over to the bed, climbing into it. She laid down beside him, gold eyes shifted toward him and watching him. Her heat was beating fast and nervously - having never been in bed...with a guy...naked. It was sort of...embarrassing? She swallowed a bit and murmured a soft goodnight to him, getting comfortable and closing her eyes.
Though it didn't last long, as soon she she was asleep she felt a cold nose touch her arm. This made her tense...what...was ...that? Clea slowly opened her arms, feeling a warm tongue touch her arm. Turning her her head, she gave a very small start at seeing the dog there. "A-Adele..." She murmured quietly, "what're you doing in here...? You're supposed to be in bed."

Adele wagged her tail happily and gave a small huff at the mention of bed. Moving more of her body onto the bed, Adele nipped at the sleeve of Clea's nightgown and gently tugged at it, giving the faintest of playful growls; she wanted to play. Releasing Clea's sleeve, Adele stepped back from the bed and watched the curtains for a few moments. Not sure if Clea was making any effort to moved out of the bed, Adele sat upon her haunches and tilted her head, eyes focused on the black curtains that concealed the bed within.
It had taken him a few moments to realize that Adele was gone, but when he did, Orion turned quickly on his heel and ran back to the room. The door was slightly opened and, sitting in the moonlight staring at the bed, was Adele. Crouching down, Orion tapped the floor to get the dogs attention, and once she was looking at him, Orion motioned for her to come to him. Adele simply perked her ears in his general direction and wagged her tail.
Frowning, Orion crept further into the room. Luckily for him Akumu was, oddly enough, fast asleep. At the corner of the bed, Orion snagged Adele's collar and pulled the dog close to him. He gave her a scolding look and mouthed "you bad, bad dog". Adele gave him a wet lick to the face, her way of apologizing.
