The brisk air felt warm, well, warmer than on the freezing mountain peaks, and sitting in the snow and sand, Rakkel enjoyed every minute of it. Although, Rakkel did wish that it was a warmer season, the cold ocean air was a bit bone chilling, and the water was too cold to wade into. But he didn't notice any of these problems, he was too encumbered by the loss of his eye, and the fact the cold breeze was opening the wound. He brought his hand to cover the scars, and stared off into nothing.
Hours passed, he hadn't moved, and the blood was slowly staining his hand and cheek. His working eye was glazed over, as if he weren't even in his body anymore. It had started snowing, and his legs were no longer visible. Then, he regained himself, and noticed that he had been out for nearly three hours. He let the fire from his soul engulf his hand, and melted the snow around him, then, he calmly set it down in front of him, and began molding it with his hands, as if it were clay.
It took several minutes, but when he was done, the flames he had started with had taken the form of a person, about a foot high, and it stood there, flames pulsing around it. Then, he swept his hand through the fire figure, and it melted away into the air. It didn't seem right to him anymore, he was too caught up in the fight with his enemy, and the loss of his pride. He knew why he had lost though, he had nothing to fight for, no clan, no allies, just his mountain, but she had too much to fight for to lose, he was foolish.
He sat lower, crossing his legs, and holding his hands close to his chest in the figure of a cup. Closing his eye and taking a deep breath, he became relaxed, focusing himself in a central point near his hands. The area around his began to warm, the source, was a small flame coming from his chest, it was a deep blue, and danced as his went to the palms of his hands. He opened his eye and brought it close to his face.
"How can something so small... be so powerful? the essence of my people, resting in my hands.... And yet, I can't fully tap into it, I've barely brushed the surface!" Rakkel clenched his fist, and the blue flame scattered, returning to his body.

The Izumi prowled closer and closer to the beach where she had almost slain the Mizuno leader. Going on her lands again right now didn't seem like a wise idea. If only Yin knew that this wasn't really Mizuno land at all. Her eyes darted around as she looked for a form of amusement. The moon shone on her and made her skin seem deathly pale and brought out her features. Yin thought she looked quite captivating within the moonlight. This is why it had been so fun to play with Rakkel not too long ago in their epic battle. Though Yin had quickly gotten bored with it and had blinded the Hatsu demon in one eye before escaping. She considered this a win and was rather pleased with herself.
Going up onto two legs she noticed ahead someone laying in the snow. The wind was blowing against her and she picked up his faint scent. A cruel smirk slowly crossed her lips as she slowly approached him with crossed arms. As she got closer things around him were changing and the snow melted away. A giggle escaped her and her dark eyes sparkled as she thought of the idea of looking at her wound. Relishing what she had done to him. "That's an interesting form of suicide, Rakkel. Freezing to death in snow? How your ideals always tend to amuse my mind." She poked her forehead as she said that last sentence and giggled again. She expected him to explode upon her in words or maybe even fists yet again. He was so typical to her and she found every bit of him hilarious. Why she hadn't killed him didn't puzzle her too much. Without him things would be dull and boring. It was always fun to play with him.
"Really now, you lose one eye and this is what you do? Sort of sad," she was now beside him and gazing down at the little person he had formed. "Hm." She had always been fond any kind of artwork. Even making fire into a sculpture was a form of art to her. It was rather lovely, too. This caused a smile to twitch at her lips until he had gotten rid of it. Then the feeling disappeared yet again.
"You're still young," she responded and yawned, "young ones learn quickly but to reach full power takes time. You'll get stronger, eventually." She smirked, "maybe." But never as strong as me.

"You have some nerve, but if you came looking for a fight, you've run out of luck. I come here to focus myself, not to kill whelps." Rakkel spilled fire onto the ground from his hands, making a nice, circular campfire, lighting the area around him. He looked through the corner of his eye at her, she was lucky he was in a calm mood right now, her presence was annoying.
"So, Yin, what is it you want? But be quick, your smell makes my nose itch, and your aura makes me tense." He swirled his hand through the orange flames, heating his hand. He slowly moved his head to get a clear look at her, and stared her in the eyes, those cold dark eyes. They showed nothing to him, and they never would until the day he saw the life leave them.
He was surprised with himself, it was rare that he was this patient with an enemy. "However, before you start, I have a question." He paused for a moment, as if trying to form the words from thin air. "Why didn't you kill me? obviously, you used only a fraction of your power, and could have easily torn me apart only by looking at me, so, why'd you let me live?"

"I'm not here for a fight," Yin responded as the fire's warmth touched her cool skin. It didn't matter how warm she got, she always thought her skin felt cold. She paid no attention to the flames that desperately tried to warm her and failed. Yin Izumi was untouchable many said, and even she believed so.
"Truthfully, I was looking for a little fun. But now I don't know why I'm here," her eyes studied him. "But I could ask you the same. What do you think you're doing on Mizuno territory? Of course they won't chase you away, those stupid peace-lovers...they'd let anyone tramp all over them" All because of their leader, she is like a pacifist or something. The woman stretched and yawned as she looked at the dark sky. A smirk of satifscation came to her because of her work. She was glad she had done what she did. Let the humans suffer.
She got a good look at his blinded eye and almost grinned widely and laughed. But she had stopped herself and made her satisfied smirk disappear. "Looks like I got you pretty nasty, didn't I? You'll never see out of that eye again. Pity." That was way too perfect. He would have to get used to a new view and she had an advantage till then. A small purr escaped her as she thought about it. Yin Izumi was in the lead yet again.
"Kill you?" She repeated and watched him closely. "Why kill you so soon, Rakkel? You're much too fun to have around." Slowly she would step toward him, the shadows spreading the fire apart so she could enter his circle. Yin was mere inches away from him, looking down at him. She was taller then him, anyways. She always looked down at him. "Without you this world would be boring."

Rakkel didn't do so much as a shift in body mass as she tried to scorn his about his eye. But he did find it hard to control himself, after being alone for so long, interaction with someone he hated was much to difficult to imagine. But in response, if a little late, he ripped off a peice of clothing from his sleeve, and tied it around his head, covering his eye.
"Yes well, while you are looking for... fun... I look for inner peace. Fun doesn't exist anymore, not for me, not anymore. But if you're so intent on finding fun, why don't you get some of your Izumi puppets to play with you?" He said this with a hint of resentment, staring at her blankly. "Because you have a very low chance of finding fun here."

Ignoring his words, she took a seat beside him and stared at the flames. Her bare feet dug into the sand and played with it as she sat in an indian-style. Her hands laid peacefully in her lap and her body relaxed. She felt no fear dropping guard around him. He was not intent on fighting right now. He merely wanted peace and Yin would like a little down time, too. So she decided to spend it with her worst enemy. That was a rather strange thing to do, wasn't it? Have a little down time with the person you hate the most. Well, he probably hated her the most but Yin didn't hate him the most. She had plenty more people that she hated and wished were gone. It was quite unfortunate that they still existed till this day. Yin worried she might even start praying for their deaths. Yin, praying? HA! The world would end as soon as she begun that. Yin liked to burn churches down while laughing at the people who are stuck inside's demise. All their lovely screams always caused her to ripple with joy.
"Surprised you haven't gone completely nuts again yet, Rakkel," Yin commented. She looked toward his eye, seeing the bandage he put around it. "I'd keep that bandaged for a good long time. This weather can't be good for it. Have you had the healer look at it yet?" She felt compelled to lift the cloth that protected it and inspect it. But she stayed still. "Also, have you heard of the pregnant half-breed?" An amused grin. It was none other then Evil Izumi herself. Impregnated by a pure blood by the name of Haru Izumi. They were the laughing stock of everywhere. Yin wondered if Rakkel had heard of this horrible sin and misfortune. How bad it looked of the pure blood demons for Haru to concieve a child with Evil - a half-breed. Also to currently be living with her and possibly loving her. That was another funny thought...Haru in love with someone. But a lot of funny things were happening lately. Some Yin didn't understand herself...

Rakkel shot a paralyzing glance at her. She knew as well as he did that he was the only Hatsu left on that miserable mountaintop, and that he had no connections with the humans, or any other clan what-so-ever. He let his hand idle it's way up to the bandage, and felt the deep indents that were the scars from her claws, and ran his fingers slowly down them.
"No, I have not heard that rumor, things rarely get past the base of the mountain, and the humans that live scattered along its face tend not to speak with me." He let his gaze drift upwards, staring at the moon, the moon that stayed there, the moon that made it colder, and colder. "The cold does not bother me, it never really has, and I wont let something as small as a few scratches change that." He hated it, but he knew that the wound would keep opening itself in this cold, either that, or cause frostbite. Nothing was worse for him than knowing something had taken his down another notch, while not being able to do anything about it.

The Izumi woman arched a brow at Rakkel as she looked at him in a questioning fashion. What? She had asked out of kindness or concern or whatever. Concern....ha...very funny, Yin. So funny that anyone who heard that would've died laughing. Her eyes shifted away from him and toward the sky yet again. "Lovely night, huh? Of course, the night has been here for some time." Because of herself, of course. It was always Yin's fault. Even if someone killed themself they still blamed her. It wasn't like Yin cared or anything.
"You should let me look at that eye," she said suddenly and turned toward him. Her hand lifted slightly toward his eye and then dropped. Remembering that she needed permission first. "The cold isn't good for a wound, Rakkel. Just let me see it and I'll do something with it. Let it be a small act of kindness?" She chuckled and grinned at the thought of an act of kindness. Though it was peaceful right now and they didn't have to act as enemies. That was just when they were feeling bitchy toward each other, ne? Yin had a sudden look of amusement in her eyes. "Won't bite, promise."
He hadn't heard the news? Aw, that was a pity! It was funny news! He should find it amusing or something. But Rakkel was always a weird demon in general, wasn't he? She liked to shake her head at him.

Rakkel dipped his head without a word and began untying the strip of cloth. And with a tug, he ripped the cloth off of the frozen wound, which made a sound that would have made a human cringe, but Rakkel showed no signs that it either hurt, or that he even noticed. "Do what you will..." He replied quietly, staring at the fire again. He knew that the sun hadn't come back for some time, but Rakkel saw better in the dark, and for some reason, made it easier to hunt. But the fact that the sun never came up would make it that much harder to adjust when, if ever, it came back.
"She's a half breed, isn't she? Yes, that's the only reason you'd find it funny like that, you don't hide your smiles well. Who's the pure blood?" Conversation made it a little more comfortable, which is why he didn't want to stop talking for too long, silence was a dangerous thing. His ears twitched as another breeze came through, and teh sound of the water hit his sences.

Yin inspected the wound that she had put on him. She was amused at how it was and chuckled softly to herself. Her fingers ran very gently over it and she wondered how much it hurt right now. She wanted to make it hurt even more. But she had said an act of kindess, so Yin began to muse on how to make it better. The sudden idea hit her and her dark eyes sparkled with mischief. It was an old healing technique she knew and one she had used as a child just for kicks.
Her lips touched softly to the wound and she kissed it. While she did she was using a spell to help numb any pain and heal it the best she could. There would still be scars. Scars that would never go away and that would always remind him of what she'd done. Of his failure that day. Then she pulled away and sat down, "there, now rewrap it. Keep it wrapped up." She yawned and let out a breath of cool air. Watching it puff out like a cloud. "Yes, she is a half-breed. It's highly looked down upon, you know. To impregnate a half-breed and spread their kind. The father's name is Haru Izumi. He's a loner and I'm glad he is. I hated that bastard. They'll make a horrible child."
